Users worldwide are reporting issues with Meta’s platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Threads, and Messenger. According to Downdetector, the outages began around 1 p.m. ET on Wednesday, causing disruptions on both the apps and websites.
Many Facebook and Instagram users have had trouble accessing their accounts, while Messenger users are facing issues logging in and sending messages.
Meta addressed the situation in a statement, acknowledging the technical problems. “We’re aware that a technical issue is impacting some users’ ability to access our apps. We’re working to get things back to normal as quickly as possible and apologize for any inconvenience,” the company said.
For now, users will have to hang tight as Meta works on a fix.
