Some fresh research from Roy Morgan has just been released, showing which brands Aussies trust the most—and which ones they trust the least—based on data from the September 2024 quarter.
When it comes to the most trusted brands, there’s not much movement at the top. Bunnings is still holding onto its crown as the most trusted brand in Australia for the fourth quarter in a row. Aldi, Kmart, Toyota, and Apple all stay in their spots in the top five, while Australia Post rounds out the top six.
There have been some shifts further down the list. Big W and NRMA both climbed up one spot, landing at 7th and 8th respectively. On the other hand, Myer dropped two places, now sitting in 9th, while Samsung kept its 10th spot.
Now, if you look at the brands Aussies trust the least, Optus still takes the top spot as the most distrusted. Woolworths has moved up a few places, now in second, with Coles not far behind in third. Qantas saw a jump as well, moving up two spots to fourth.
Interestingly, social media platforms are getting a lot of negative attention. Facebook and Meta sit in 5th place, with X (formerly Twitter) and TikTok not far behind in 9th and 10th, respectively. Meanwhile, Telstra, News Corp, and Temu are also among the least trusted.
It’s clear that for some brands, building trust is a bigger challenge than for others!
